About
Bless a Friend is just a way for our ladies group to bless each other as we feel led to. Participation is optional - please don't feel obligated. With the Coronavirus, we've had to get creative with ways to reach out to each other. This is just another way that we can love on each other from a distance using the convenience of modern technology. Frequency and budget of your gifting is completely up to you.
I would ask that if you choose to participate, please be sure to include some low budget items on your list.
Imagine that you're having a bad morning. You get up and the first thing you do is step in dog pee. You clean that up and head towards the kitchen only to realize you ran out of coffee. OK. Great start to your day, you think to yourself. Then you start to get ready for your day only to realize you're out of clean shirts, so you start laundry. You proceed with getting ready and somehow manage to use shaving cream instead of toothpaste when you brush your teeth. Wonderful. You go check on the laundry and realize you forgot to add soap to the washer. Awesome. Let's start this process all over again. You decide to just put on yesterday's shirt and run out the door because Starbucks is calling your name. You arrive at Starbucks and the Drive-Thru line is wrapped around the building. Lovely. You decide to wait anyway because it's been a rotten morning and you need a reset. Finally, you're the next car in line to place your order and you run out of gasoline. Oy.
Imagine how you'd feel if you finally made your way home to find a surprise on your doorstep. God laid you on someone's heart a few days ago in anticipation of your bad day. You open the package to find a book you've been wanting to read and your favorite chocolate. Suddenly your perspective has changed. None of that other stuff seems to matter anymore because God used someone to show you love today.
Oh what a blessing it is to have precious friends that God put in our lives.
I want to encourage you - whether you choose to participate in Bless a Friend or not - you can bless a friend in many other ways besides sending gifts via Amazon. If Amazon is not your thing, maybe mailing a card to let someone know you're thinking about them is more your style.
Let's get creative. Let's love one another and stay connected during this crazy time. Love you all so very much
